Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, document, and execute robust and comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test plans for our software suite, ensuring robust validation across all phases of development.
- Support cross-functional teams to investigate complex issues that involve software, hardware, electrical, or system, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Create and implement automated test cases to support software builds, releases and continuous integration pipelines.
- Coordinate and execute appropriate testing including system integration and performance testing before product releases.
- Identify, document, and track defects, usability issues, and other test findings, ensuing clear and effective communications of results to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to optimize product quality and team efficiency.
- Provide mentorship to other team members for designing test strategies, developing test cases, and applying QA best practices.
- Conduct in-depth testing on complex scenarios, perform detailed statistical analysis, and independently interpret test results to make informed recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
- 5+ years of industry experience in QA/ software testing, specifically for life science instrumentation. The level of the position will depend on technical skills and experience.
- Demonstrated success in supporting the software development life cycle from initial development to commercial deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Experience in C# and .NET is strongly desirable.
- Hands-on experience of creating and executing test plans for software systems controlling optomechanical systems involving imaging, robotics, and fluidics.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team and work independently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Exceptional attention to details and demonstrated ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentations pm test plans and test reporting.
- Familiarity with MATLAB and handling image data is strongly desirable.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus.
